Current show - 'Puss In Boots'

This year we have chosen an award winning pantomime written by TLC creative "Puss in Boots". Synopsis 'Jack, the miller's son has been left with just the family cat in his father's will and although he has great ambitions it is unlikely he will amount to much! Things soon change with the arrival of his Auntie Hettie and the revelation that Puss can talk (and look pretty fetching in a pair of boots)! Soon Jack, Auntie and Puss are embroiled in a complex scheme to persuade the King and Queen that Jack (masquerading as the Marquis of Carabas) is suitable husband material for the beautiful Princess. But first they will have to contend with a jealous noble suitor a pair of dastardly henchmen, and a hideous shape-shifting Ogre! Dates Wednesday 3rd Feb to Saturday the 6th. Doors open at 7 for curtains up at 7:30. Saturday matinee Doors open at 2, show starts at 2:30

About us

First we will give you a little insight into the Melksham Comedy Club. The Melksham Comedy Club was founded in 1969 and despite the name we are not a "stand-up" comedy club, however we are certainly a funny bunch.

We put on three shows a year, one panto in the early part of the year, then we start rehearsing for our next show which we perform in may and then straght into rehearsals for our september show.

Currently we have around 30 members but we are always looking for new talent and not just on stage, we also need people to work backstage, with lights, sound and stage managment, we always welcome help with scenery preparation.

A few of our members are keen script writers so we are often performing original shows and pantomimes. We always welcome new scripts and ideas so if you have any, please don't hesitate to get in touch
